how can you tell if your clutch is going south?
how can you tell if your clutch is going south?
my problem...i am able to shift into gears ok, but if i hold my clutch down too long it like looses its pressure and i get stuck into whatever gear..unless i am able to move and release my clutch i am stuck in gear or die out... what is my problem?
sounds to me like the fingers on your pressure plate are getting worn out.
may as well replace the clutch disk and throwout bearing while you're in there.
and on the new clutch..don't hold the clutch in all the time(like at stoplights and such.)

I would think the problem is either the master or slave cylinder for the hidrolic clutch. if it was your clutch itself you wouldn't be able to pull out or stall the car by releasing the peddle. Sorry it could also be a through bearing but thats less likly. As that would create a problem as soon as you would push the peddle.

Is your clutch master reservoir low? First check the back of the slave cylinder for fluid, if it is
dry then its your clutch master as long as the hose is not leaking. Recommend that you replace both at same time. rx7doctor

Well, when I had my car in first and wasn't touching any of the pedals and it *didn't* stall... I kinda figured mine was toast
