I thought rice went out of style in around '97 or '98? kidding.... kind of.

Being a Honda man and also an R man, I would suggest you guys leave the ricey fiberglass body kits to the younger generation of Honda enthusiasts (aka the rice generation). They are typically the ones keeping the manufacturers of these tacky body kits in business.

The 1st gen R has such beautiful body lines. Almost timeless. There's only one or two cosmetic pieces I've seen that flow with the car and don't make it look ugly. Just about anything you put on it is just an absolute abomination. Keep the "kits" and bondo away from your car! Please!

I tend to try to stay away from bondo because done the slightest way wrong it can soak up water and become a major problem area.

I personally think mazda did a really awesome job designing the 1st gen. I love it stock or widebody. I prefer stock though. If i was to do anything, all i would do is add a wraparound spoiler, Just give your 7 a nice paintjob, wheels, engine performance, and make it a sleeper. Thats my plans for mine. Do what you want though, and don't go crazy please. If anything go widebody. God bless

Agreed with twinkletoes. I'm working on getting the wrap around spoiler like I had on my GSL and the front air dam and skirts. That's it with some nice wheels. Soon enough hopefully I'll be able to work on a turbo setup. Then it'll definately be a sleeper.

It was quoted to me at about 7 grand for a mold, and paint job.

LOL!

The 7 grand is cheap if the guy knows what he's doing & does good work - I doubt it. Making plugs on the car & pulling molds is at least a 300 hr. job. Most custom places get $70 per hour. Then you have to make the parts, install them, prime, block, prime, paint, sand, & buff.
A better idea is to get the kit for the ZX, adapt it to the 7, then do the prime/paint thing. I could do it, but I'm way behind so you'd have to be patient if you left it here. I'm thinking around 12 grand for the whole thing, depending on how well the kit fits the car & the shape of the car. I'm in N. Ga. BTW.
