WA Hot start issues

Well my car doesn't like to start hot at all, when its cold it starts up

Checked my compression when cold it seemed fine and the compression went up when it was hot so I dont think it is my Compression

When I first bought this car it didnt want to start at all, I rebuilt the carb and it will now start cold Im thinking I might of bent my floats a little bit when I did the rebuild could that be the problem?

I can also Push the car and get it started when it is hot

My car is a 83 Rx7 with 12a Streetport rb heads and exauhst It has a stock Nikki carb also on it

Any ideas?

After you shut the car off, look down into the barrels of the carb and see if you have gas running in.

Then I would suggest you take a good look at the fuel level in the float bowls. The other common cause of hot start issues is timing.

Dude, I had the same problem!! I spent $900 on an atkins rebuild kit and When I was done it did the same thing. Fought it for months, but never figured it out... Ended up getting a new motor. Know this didn't help, but I hope you figure it out man.

I tested compression with a cheapo compression tester I got at the parts store showed me that I didnt lose compression when it was hot though.

spray some WD-40 down into where you put the key in. let dry for 10 minutes or so and see if that doesnt help.
a couple rx's ago i had that problem and that fixed it right away.
