horrible night

Ok I have to tell you guys this. It started by me first going to my friends house. Everything was fine. I go to Discount Auto and I pull in get out and hear a high pitched hissing noise. I first think, **** my fuel pump, cause it's on it's last leg. And then it pops in my head I don't smell fuel. So then I notice my tire is going flat. GREAT! right? I start the process of jacking the car up, and taking the tire off and then when I do get to the spare I look at it and it's a Bridgestone I was like WHOA! I Bridgestone. Ok now I have a GSLSE and of course the damn spare tire is a 4 x 110. GOD DA**IT! I was so damn pissed off. I call up my dad and beg him to come and help me. I have another tire and rim that fit the car and ran off to get it with my dad. So after failing to get the spare tire to work I finally after an hour. So this has been a horrible night and am now lookling for new rear tires.

You think thats crappy. How bout this.

I have been having many unexpected problems with my car (not on the road yet). A couple days ago I find out my oil cooler leaks. I JB welded it 2 days ago and tested it today. Didn't leak for 5 min. Then a constant stream of oil comes pouring out from the fitting. I need a new oil cooler. Then, after I could do no more on the engine, I thought I would try to get my wiring done. Well, after spending a few hours on the stereo wiring, I go to test it. Works great on the radio. I go to get a CD from my other car. I get back and the stereo turns off and my car is full of smoke. Turns out I shorted out a wire for the cruise control somehow. Spend the rest of the night tracking the wire and got nothing out of it. I did solve the problem though. Turns out that it was the GROUND wire for the cruise control unit. God only knows how I managed to short something like that out. Didn't blow a single fuse either. Also on top of that, I go to pick up what I thought was going to be all my door seals. Well, I got just the outer window seals (door seals didn't come in yet). One of them was the wrong part too. So I technically got only one outer window seal.

Oh well. Not much I can do about a crappy day though. Answer this for me though. Why are you carrying a spare tire wiht the 4x110 bolt pattern in you car?

lol thats what I wanted to know. I never used the spare or looked at it. I bought the car 3 motnhs ago. So the real question is, why was the person before me carrying a 4x110 bolt pattern spare.

That is a good question. Yet another mystery in the world that we may never figure out.

Thats a good idea. Keep the tire in case your proper spare tire blows out for some odd reason. Then you don't have to worry about getting a new tire. Just have that one mounted on the rim.

This is prob. a dumb question but I'll ask anyway. Since you were already at discount auto why didn't you buy a tire plugging kit(or a can of fix-a-flat) and fix it when you found out about the spare being wrong?

Same thing happened to my friend's Camry... He blew the tire out and shredded it pulling over to the side of the road at 60 MPH... Popped the trunk and got the spare out...

5 lug hub... 4 lug spare...
