holley air cleaner

I am in the process of installing a racing beat intake and holley carb. I am shopping for an air cleaner and curious as to which air cleaner fits best. I am concerned about hood clearance. Any suggestions?

Don't use the triangle one with the foam insert, use a standard drop base with a k&n filter or a gm hei offset base with a slightly shorter k&n filter.

pretty much any aftermarket air cleaner will fit the holley. i use the small 6 5/8 round one. u won't find a k&n filter on the shelf, u'll have to check the catalog and order one that has the measurements u want.

cone filter kit from a TBI dodge dakota. you'll have to re-drill the mounting hole, but thats about it.

thanks for the props! the radiator is a 2" aluminum ford racing radiator. had to run the hoses kind of strange, but it works great!

Don't like the idea of that nut inside the air cleaner, even if it is a lock nut. Don't really like the tiny air filters either. As for the car hat, I tried that with a K&N and it couldn't flow enough. With the camden hood clearance is a huge issue for me.

Why not the triangle shaped one, Eledebroc? Looks like it would fit?

this is the setup on a 74 rx3 coupe if that helps! As for replacement filters, just pick up a few when you purchase the kit unless it comes with a reusable!
