HID lighting

no off-the-shelf stuff for flip-ups yet, but one could use one of these kits to make a fixed lamp HID kit:

damn those are ,damn good lookin. would the frst set fit though , it looks like the front bubble goes too far forward. id get them if i didnt have to sell my 7.

Wow those first ones look like eyeballs. I've seen people make their own kits from junkyard Lexus parts for around 200 bucks, the toughest part is getting housings that work.

Not for flip-ups. Hence the fixed-lamp bit

nice thing about these is they're complete. If you use OEM parts for the aiming bucket, you should be within DOT compliance. Most of the junkyard-cobbled ones I've seen, though, are highly illegal.

so if you go either with either the lights up all the time of fab up somthing else for a fixed headlight setup

yup.

Unless you remove the projector from the plastic surround - in which case it's small enough that you could make a sleepy-eye flipup. Either way there's fabbing involved - a fixed lamp bracket or a sleepy-eye bracket.
