hesitation around 4000 rpms

I was driving around one night when all of a sudden the car just died on me. the next day i pulled the plugs and they were all fouled so i put new ones in . I started the car and it barely ran so i tested for spark and found i had no spark on my leading plugs. i tested the igniters and found out the leading igniter was bad . The leading igniter was no good so i put in a new one. Now, it ran great at idle but then when i drive it it hesitates and backfires at 4 grand . And i have to put the pedal to the floor to get the car to move but it still runs really rough. I have put a new set of plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and 2 new igniters in it. I also checked the carb and everything is adjusted correctly. I am wondering if its a condensor but i am running out of ideas. Any suggestion would be apreciated .
