Thumbs up Heres a solution to the Panasport problem if anyone is interested...

I spoke with the Panasport importer today in LA.

He has 3 15x7's but estimates that it will be 4 months or so before he has enough demand to warrent ordering any more from Japan. If I can roud up enough people willing to buy say, 5 sets, he could place the order earlier.

They run $235 each plus shipping. We have to technically order them through Mariah or another dealer, but it's a way to get some anyway.

One thing is for sure, we now know why it's so rare to see on the street.

Problem is guys, there are none available and if you try and order them, it will be at least 4 months...maybe. Probably longer.

That's straight from Mas, or how ever you say his name, in LA. He's the only guy in the US that imports the wheels. (Panasport.com)

I have checked every dealer I can find in the US and can only find 3 street wheels.

They are made to order, so until he can't order less than 10 sets.

I want two sets, so I have to find 8 others who want them before whe can have a production run made. By the way, the price is $219 per wheel plus shipping.

Guys...trust me, you can not get these wheels through ANY distributer. You can place an order, but the order will be held until there is enough demand to warrant a production run in Japan.

Paul Spruell was the first shop I called...their price is the same $219 per.

As far as we can tell after contacting 9 different distributers, there are only 3 wheels in the US that are available for sale. (15x7...4x110)

By the way, these are the DOT approved "FS" type wheel.

The racing wheels are much more readily available, but they are cast much thinner, are not legal for street use, have no center caps (and unless you glue them on cannot be fixed with center caps), and are notorious for cracking and bending from street use. They give up the strength for that 1 1/2 lb weight savings.

Anyway, if anyone is interested in buying a set, please email me or reply to this thread. If we come up with enough people, we can get a production order placed.

Thanks,

No 7" wheels will be perfect. I use 13x7s on my racecar (widest allowed) and they fit with only rolling the fender lips with 225/50/13's.

If you get the right offset you can prolly get 8.5" on the back still tucking.
