help spending a gift certificate
ok here is the deal, i have a gift certificate for 200 dollars to rotary performance (rx7.com) they can order me pretty much anything and everthing on my car has been bought through them but, that's the problem i have most everything they sell on their site. I am a rotary noob to the sort, i own nothing but european cars that i fix up(which may change soon to make way for two new FD's) well, my uncle passed away in may and he wanted to fix up his 7 for me because he knew i liked it. So he went and spent all his cash on stuff from there here is the list of mods and a pic, anyways my question is what do you guys think i should get? It doesn't have to be right at 200 it can be say 400. Any input is greatly appreciated.
These are the only two pics i have BTW so sorry for no side shots:
racing beat exhaust with bonez midpipe
bonez intake
jacobs fc100
jacobs energy coil packs
rotary oil cap
tokico blue struts
suspension specialties springs
cusco strut bars
supension technique sway bars
15x6 motegi trak lites (10lbs a piece)
bonez brake upgrade stage 1
racing beat short shifter
i think that is everything anyways thanks for the help

Nice car. Other than the items trochoid listed, I can't see much it might need.
Perhaps stainless brake hoses? Or were those part of the "Stage 1" brake upgrade?
Maybe order some maintence items (oil, filters, spark plugs/wires) or a clutch upgrade?

i think the steering system was the last thing he did and poly bushings on pretty much everything suspension wise oh and it's the HP struts he has i've been calling them blues for years haha sorry. Yeah adjustable struts would be nice, do they make springs that go any lower? These go only an inch, coming from the vdub world i am used to being slammed hehe

I salute you. My son-in-law is in the military.
A nice clutch upgrade, possibly including a lighter flywheel should go nicely with everything it already has.
Very few companies offer springs that go any lower, but King Springs in Aussie comes to mind.

yeah i think i will probably go with the bonez street clutch unless i think of anything more useful. I will have to wait on the flywheel..400 more dollars is a little more than i have at the moment (the vw keeps draining my pockets too:P )

Your suspension drop is fine, any lower, you degrade the handling. Then you will be looking at some serious suspension mods to bring it back.
Another item often overlooked is preservation. With what's been put into the car, rust repair and underbody protection would be high on my list. You're running out of things to do.

i is just a straight pipe it's not as loud as i thought it'd be, it has a low growl at cruising then a high deep growl when i downshift but nothing ricey at all. Sounds like a beast...this one guy i remember was walking behind it when my uncle was revving it up and it burnt his leg haha. As far as rust goes the car is in mint condition minus the clearcoat fading which i will take care of when i get back from the sandbox. He would baby this car and keep it garage kept, he also bought a new motor to go in it about ehh 5 years ago out of one of those "jdm distro" sites and put it in there because his had 200 something thousand miles on it and the only reason it went to pot is because the oil drain plug fell out. I am pretty lucky to have gotten one in such good condition now if i can just keep it that way when i take it to the track

one question i had is that i saw some other 1st gens that had the mirrors on the fender, i am a pretty decent at doing bodywork/custom apps. So i don't know if that's a custom job i figured it probably came on the jdm versions somewhere along the line.

I have that bonez street/comp clutch on one of my dad's cars. It's very very nice. Be warned, it's much harder than the OEM clutch. Driving in traffic is not for the faint of leg. I did it for a while though with no complaints. Even with R compounds the tires will burn before the clutch will. Very strong. I loved it.

cool deal, was it hard to put in? I am used to tranny work on other imports never done a rotary though. I already know how the clutches go i had an act stage 1 on one of my cars and my friend had a race clutch in his, you barely take your foot off the clutch and it's already engaging. I will look more into the mirror thing i like the look of it and this isn't my daily driver by any means but still i wouldn't want something that is to hard to see out of (which i figured it probably was anyways). Thanks for helping out a noob
