Question Help needed - GSL-SE questions

Trying to find a few answers with on luck.

What to know,

1- If my oil cooler PSI is good. Getting about 30psi at idle and 60psi anything over 1500rpm.

2- My temp guage never gets to the middle or half way mark. It runs colder and never hits the factory mark on the temp guage even under hard driving. I have noticed my fan clutch is not working due to the fan is always on.
Or maybe it is a bad temp guage.

3- There was a link that showed a step by step process to remove your injectors. Does anyone have this link or site? Wanted to send mine off to be rebuilt.

Thanks for all the help.
Also want to say Thanks to Felix for all the extra help and info.

I forgot to say the idle is 800 rpm so the oil psi is then at 30psi

Oil pressure 30 psi at idle is GOOD, should be around 60 psi @ 3000 RPM so yours seems right on. As does your temp gauge...most seem to run an 1/8" to a 1/4" past the first tick, which is fine. If your engine gets too hot in there, it will not take off all its clothes, rather you will be taking off all its bolts for a rebuild.

As far as the injectors, you only need to remove the upper intake manifold and you will see the fuel rail uner which lurks the injectors...I am, in fact, picking up mine today after having them cleaned and flowed.

Hope this helps. Oh yeah an 800 idle is perfect as well.

Right on.

Thanks

THanks for the help. There for awhile I did not think anyone had the answers or was not responding for other reasons.

I have 35 PSI at an idle, and 65 PSI at 3K RPMs. I know cause my gauge tells me so .

It isn't that cheap, I'll tell you that much. Give a couple places a call and see what they charge. Of course, they may not be bad at all. I had mine checked a little while ago just for good measure (even that wasn't cheap) and they have ~90k miles on 'em, passed with flying colors.

Your car sounds like it's running perfect. That oil pressure is something to be proud of and the cooling sounds spot on. The stock gauges are ****, so it's a relative thing. If you see that gauge touch the other side of where it normally is, then you've got problems. Other than that, no worries.

Wish I had an 800 idle...

Mine is 750 RPMs . Factory spec for a 12A . My temp gauge never goes past 1/8, and I have 13.5 volts at an idle with 35 PSI of oil pressure . I love my car when it all works . With so many new parts, it damn well better work .

A local shop did it here in town for $20 a pop....not that expensive if you ask me......they can't repair them, but they clean them ultrasonically, flow test em, and put new seals on them. He said mine looked fine....he said, "man theset things flow, I had em next to a corvettes injectors and they were outflowing them." I guess with only two injectors and six rotor faces you need lotsa fuel.

Right on.

Spec for the SE's 13B (which we're discussing) is 800-850 depending on the manual.

As for injection cleaners, if you drive the car often it's not typically an issue - in Canada at least. I've not researched US additives but north of the border gas is sold with premixed engine cleaners (and 'winter gas' with premixed gasline antifreeze) so additional additives are a thing of the past - the gas cleans your system as you drive.
