HELP! my breaks just broke!

So my e-break cable snapped, so i was just like, okay, i can fix thta latter, i only really used it for parking, and then i was going and i went to hit my break pedal, it just went to the floor. What would take me 5 feet to stop now takes me about 30 feet! the reservoir is still full! btw way, the cable broke right under the handle, any easy fix?

I don't know why those two things happened at the same time, but like Fanatic said, weld the cable back on. Otherwise, check the brake booster to ensure that it is working properly. It could have a vacuum leak or something of that sort that would make it not work and thus dropping the pedal to the floor without effect. If it is the brake master cylinder then the internals may be damaged which would make the fluid unable to be compressed through the brake lines causing it to not work. Those are just my two guesses.

Replace the brake cable, check the system for leaks. If none found, replace the master cylinder.

Congruent failures, happenstance.

Drum brakes on the rear? If so, pull the drums, and check the adjusters. When I got my car, the adjusters were frozen up, and the previous owner had adjusted the park brake cable to compensate for this. After I replaced the rear shoes, and freed up the adjusters, I couldn't pull the park brake handle up more than one click, and the rear brakes were dragging badly.
I am assuming that when the pedal hits the floor, repeated pumping of the pedal slowly results in a little bit of resistance, but it will never "pump up" fully.

first check you brake Booster. if you see any paint pealing then you have a master cylinder leak.

second try reversing then applying the brakes. that is how most rear drum brake self adjusters are adjusted on duoservo system (im not sure if the rx7 has duoservo or leading trailing?)

bleed the system for safety reason. old brake fluid can create electrolysis and absorb water which can steam causing air bubbles. Air is compressable and brakes will fail.
