HELP ME connect my hoses (before i get cancer) PICS!
hi as sum of u may already know i am experiencing heavy gassy fuely smells from my s3
so bad that it gets stuck on my clothes and i get drowsy because of the dang smell.. its geting really bad
pls help me connect them to the right place..
the smell is not getting consumed by the engine as it should because one or more hoses are just venting to the atmoshpere..

if that's the charcoal canister, you should have one line coming from your gas tank and one going to the engine, then on the bottom of the charcoal canister (or maybe it's on the top one that does this, I dunno) there's a third line that drains to the bottom of the car.
So, one line should come from the gas tank
One should go the engine somehow I think (dunno how)

The hand in picture # 4 from the top is pointing to the carbon cannister ( to the right of the oil filter) that collects and supresses the gas fumes in the under the hood area. It should never need replacing due to the few # of vaccuum lines and hoses that send fumes to it(as compared to a 3rd gen.) but make sure the lines are all hooked up correctly from the shop manual.
It's strange to me that you are not using the fuel return line anymore w/the Weber setup. Guys, don't you still need to use that??
Maybe with the stock exhaust you have some really bad exhaust leaks and you are smelling the engine running rich?

anyone here know if the weber 48 ida is still capable of running a return fuel line?
