help

I need a couple of questions answered please. What's the difference between the 79-80 struts and strut housings vs latter 1st gens? The same question applies to brakes and altenators.

thank you. That did answer most of my questions. So I guess the brakes issue is because of the threading and the different size axles on the rear?

Yes the threads are the biggest difference. Are you wanting to put a later suspension in an SA?

well, I was wondering why the struts, brakes (front and rear) and rotors were different part numbers. I was wondering if somehow the latter models had better parts. If I just took the parts from the 85, I could swap them out couldn't I?

If you use the whole assemblies yes. And figure out something for the brake lines. Maybe rob those too.

Well you can get 4wheel discs which is nice. And the front has bigger bearings for better load carrying capabilities. Also theres more availibility for shocks/struts.
