Grounds? need to be in place?

ok as in my last thread, i fried the intermitin relay in my wiper, ...... circuit? i was looking and the X-15 ground (the ground in this circuit) had never been hooked back up, i was wondering if this would, or could be the source of my frying. ( my guess is it is, cause if theres no where for the electricity to go its gunna sit ther...... Right?)

any input like yeah thats prolly what happened or even no, your an f...ing retard shutup and take a match to your car; would be apreciated

thanks

It's not going to sit there, it's going to look for another ground path. Electricity either moves or it doesn't. If there is no ground path, no current flows through.

That said, I am assuming the ground in question is for the relay's coil? If there's a poor ground the current through the circuit might be going up because of the voltage drop.

IN any case, Mazda was very skimpy when it put ground paths in the electrical circuits. Every single one of them is very important.
