MT Hello new to the RX club

Hello all im new to the site and have just recently got my 1983 rx7 running! Just a few simple questions, it has a 12a motor in it and what would be the best way to add a little HP to it? It still has the origanl motor and it only has 70k miles on it and what would be a good time to get a new motor and is there anyway to put a newer RX7 motor into the older body or do i have to stick with the 12a or 13b motors?
