although ive been told that no track in canada will allow me to run a rotary peripheral port.... hehehe still its going to be drivin on the road , just not daily... heheh
anyway flame away if ya feel the need
btw just curious ive been told peripheral ports can rev to 13000rpm... im probly wrong tho heheh
I KNOW ITS GOING TO BE LOUD, i just rebuilt my harddrive and lost all my videos and sound clips, does anyone know where i can find some good ones of a 12A PP engine

I don't understand why you would want a pp 12a over a turbo 13b. you can get just as much or more power out of a turbo for less money, and it will be daily drivable. That is just my opinion. I have never driven a pp though so i can't really compare to my turbo.

Sounds sweet, you will have to let me come check it out once you get it underway. You listed cermamic apex, then Carbon Race Apex Seals?

We all have our wish lists. What events are you going to compete in?

I agree with mwatson, you can fit a 13B turbo with far more power, for half the cost and still use it on the road.

Two important things you need to include in the budget are a daily driver and a tow truck & trailer.

So your going to go with MFR housings? You do realize, they are 1500 a piece and the manifold is 500 right, thats 3500 for that stuff alone another 1000 for the seals. so your up to 4500 and you still need another 2500 in oil pump, lines, gears, bearings etc. your going to have to drop about 7500 on the block and that doesnt include the flywheel, pullys, carb, ignition, plugs, wires, coils, radiator etc. If i were you and just wanted something loud and fast I would build myself a megga bridge port and run Nitrous, it would make more power than a streight NA and it would be less than half the price. Just my input.

You will certainly want to bump up the oil pressure. I'm using an fd regulator on my 12a pp project.

Rotortuner- I thought it was normal to use something like a supra or supra turbo gearbox and custom driveshaft. Do you think stock would survive and what cost any upgrade?

Depends on what your going to do. For road racing where there wont be any hard launches, the stock gearbox will work, or a 1urbo 2 gear box is best, for drag racing, ya, you will need a better trans like the supra, better drive shaft and a 9 inch rear.

Everybody responded intelligently. P-Ports are for PURE RACING Only. Anything other use is silly.

sory i thought i had stated that i knew somone that was going to be doing my own housings as the peripheral port basicaly he is going to teach me about porting and during that hes going to make the peripheral port housings
sory about the carbon ceramic, i dont know what i was thinking when i wrote it down(i forgot to delete the carbon apex ), i used racing beat products basicaly to get a list down some of the parts i will use wont be exactly matching to that list, its more of a guideline... and as far as the 13B turbo... i thought hmmmm yea, but i dunno i love the 12A 13Bs are awsome i just like the 12A alot more no i didnt win the lottery who knows... boost may come into play with the 12A PP this car is a "project car" plans have just begun, but im not going to count my chickens befor they hatch, but like i said if things go as planned for work i will be able to do this project i thought i would share my little dream with fellow rotary addicts.
