just wondering if there was an easy way (or a kit) to get rid of the single piece globes in the gen 1's?
looking to try and either get a single halogen globe, or double halogen globes.
also if its been done does nayone have any pics?
-Cheers

If you want dual lights you can go with this kit. Its for a miata, but im pretty sure that it fits first gens too. Im not sure if it comes with halogen lamps, but im sure you could pick some up that will fit.
Does anyone know if the lights still go down when you do this?

of course its possible, but I doubt it would be easy to make it all work right. I dont see why the lights wouldnt go up and down with the kit, but I remember reading somewhere that they dont.
Heres what it looks like on a first gen.
