header pipe length

how important is it to have header pipes of different lengh in an RX-7......i know for piston engines you want each exaust pulse to hit the condencer at different times, is this important for rotaries???

is there some kind of golden length for each pipe that the hard core addicts swear by, or is it one of those things where everyone has an opinion and no one is right?

People say equal legnth is better, it's probably not a noticeable difference though.
