UT Gslse hot restart problem

hey guys ive got an 84 gslse with 78k . The oil metering pump has been removed and blocked off. Im premixing 8 ounces of synthetic Tc-w3 outboard marine 2-stroke oil for 13 gallons of gas. The car starts and runs great as long as i let it sit for 8 hrs or so. Its got anew fuel pump and filter, rotor and cap and plugs. Any ideas?

Check your timing. Otherwise, maybe your injectors are leaking?

injectors leaking after the engine is shut off and pooling in the intake is most likely the culprit. i would reccomend pulling the injectors and sending them to www.witchhunter.com for a cleaning, flow test, and service.

Before you mess with injectors, check the hot start assist system that is found in the FSM (4B, page 67). If your fuel pressure control regulator is not working, the car may not start when it's hot. Another thing that can cause this is a bad air intake temp sensor on the driver's side of the dynamic chamber.

If this checks out ok, then I would look at the injectors. You can leak check them yourself if you want to. Just take them out (connectors in tact of course) and zip tie the injectors to each other and then zip tie both of them to something stationary. Get a jumper wire and jump the black rubber connector that is underneath your air funnel/AFM. Turn the key on, and let the pump run for 5 minutes. If your injectors are leaking, you'll see it.

Thanks guys. After some research, i've come to the same solution its probly an injector as it will start and run hot, but idles horrible and drives with a constant loss of power. Similar to a blown head gasket on a piston engine.
