GSL SE Turbo (underwway)

Pulled my baby out of storage on the weekend & pulled the motor out today getting ready for a turbo swap. Progress would be slow because I work 5 to 6 days a week. Will keep you guys posted.

Tweakit.net mistake

Got my blowthrough plenum from www.tweakit.net & was doing some measurements & found the holes don't line up. If you look at the picture, the plenum measures 70mm across. Now the IDA throttle body measures at 65mm. Very well pissed off about this & I waited 6 weeks for this part. Anyway gotta get it fixed myself. Don't wanna wait another 6 weeks. For those of you that order from Tweakit.net, be aware.

Didn't do much yet on the car but will keep you guys posted. The motor is a ported 4 port 13B I bought of a member of the forum. If you search Andre Sinclair, all the specs on the motor are there. It's streetported on the intake & race ported on the exhaust.

Intercooler

R.P.M. Motorsports did the intercooler mounting, piping & 3" exhaust. Great job & highly recommended for fabrication work. Thanks again guys.

Ya i saw the whole thing being welded up on saturday. Neat little setup and I'll be doing something similar with my Fuji racing itb's but I'll be doing a supercharger (rotrex). I did mention over there that if your intercooler was upside down (as in the inlet and outlet are on the bottom side) it might make things a little bit more efficent. The way you have it mounted on there right now most of the air will be travelling in that top part of the intercooler and the way you have things setup doesn't flow the air as much as the bottom to cool down the air charge further.

Also they told me that you're keeping the stock SE fuel pump? I would at the very least get a walbro external pump instead of the stock one. Also not sure if the stock piping size is enough to really feed those 4 injectors? (How big are those anyways?).

Everything is being upgraded in the car. Fuel pump, lines etc. Every issue is being addressed. Thanks though.

good to hear the one other thing that i'm still unsure about too is that fuel rail really flowing enough.
