Yes, but you can not use the turbo clutch and flywheel.

If you run a lightweight flywheel, and juggle your counterweight, clutch and starter components, then yes you can run an SE trans behind the TII........the question is do you WANT to run it behind a TII?

Bad idea in general.
You can get a TII trans for less money and hassel than it would take to make the SE tranny work.......and the TII tranny wont grenade the first time you put power into it!

I got a question, I got the goofy looking gsl-se flywheel/clutch setup, and I also have the gsl-se trans. I was going to use the 6 port S4 engine in the gsl-se later down the road. Do i need to use the flywheel/clutch i took off of the gsl-se engine?

You use the flywheel off of the S4 set up.

Not sure what you're trying to say here, the driveshaft tail or the tranny tail. Neither of them swap. One needs a TII shaft spline mated to a custom shaft. Last one ran me a tad over 300 bucks.

S4 NA tranny yes, S4 TII or any S5, no. A TII tranny requres a new custom shaft, which is often cheaper to do than all the clutch bs.

Why's that? I thought you can swap the tailshaft out and run the stock DS.

I asked this question last week.

If you want to use a SE tranny on a T2 motor you'll need a N/A flywheel AND N/A clutch to be able to bolt the SE tranny to the T2 motor.

GSL-SE Tranny on a S4 or S5 T2 engine > Second Gen N/A Clutch and flywheel

If you want cheap, Ebay has N/A FC clutches for around 130-150$
Ask around for a FC N/A Flywheel. Pretty easy to come by

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/F1-RA...spagenameZWDVW

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/XTD-S...spagenameZWDVW

Friend of myne runs a GSL Tranny on his S5 T2 motor putting around 280rwhp and hasn't broke it yet, (and it's not babied lol)

You cannot swap the Fb shifter housing onto the TII or S5 transmission because the bearings are much bigger on the TII and S5.

TII starter for TII flywheels, all the rest are NA and most are interchangeable. Stick with the same year as the fly and you're good.

Now, I'm done holding your hand, start reading.

Pesonally,I wouldnt even consider running the tiny little stock 1G u-joints with a TII engine.Youll be making double the power with potential for making triple or more. They wont stand a chance if you drop the clutch or run an aggressive clutch setup. With all the work, time and effort needed to make a TII swap work, skimping on the driveline makes no sense. Its not an expensive thing to make, mine was only 200 bucks from scratch, and it has the potential to really mess up your car and/or kill you, should the driveline fail.
