gsl-se oil cooler washer

I have quick question.

On the long hose that goes to the back of the engine. Is there a copper washer those goes between the begining of that hose and the connection on my oil cooler? At first I thought the hose was leaking so I got a new one. Now it still leaks just as bad, but it looks like its leaking from the connection. When I removed the hose there wasn't a washer there, but I didn't know if there was supposed to be, because it wasn't a banjo bolt.

I had a washer. Then I switched to racing beat, they didn't have a washer. Would you like to buy my hoses?(rb) Not trying to thread highjack, just a viable alternative to your cunundrum.

how much do you want your hoses for? It would really suck if I bought new hoses and it still leaked.

Like $60. New there $111.00 and then you need four adapters, those are 9.80 a piece. So $60 is not bad. (racing beat part # 11908, adapters 3 of the 11901 and one 11902). Pretty high priced, huh?

yes, theres supposed to be a washer. if it's a banjo bolt there should be a washer on each side. they are a couple bucks at the mazda dealership. yet those hoses he's got are real nice and a good price.

Take a good, close look at the fittings on the cooler. If you didn't have a washer in there and tightened the adapter down hard, you probably have a cracked fitting and that's what's leaking. The -SE coolers are famous for developing cracks due to use of old crush washers (or no washers at all). You can get the fitting welded up if that's the problem.
