i am wondering will this swap be a bolt in deal..

im taking the radiator oil cooler from my se parts car and putting it onto my 81 because my beehive is leaking oil like a ****.....

You have an 83 motor in the car, but do you have the '83 radiator or the '81? If you have the '81 rad, you need the oil cooler and the oil filter pedestal. If it is a later model rad, it will be too tall to mount the cooler underneath, so unless you want to get creative in your mounting, you will need to swap the rad as well.

 

You'll have to make some custom brakets for the SE cooler, it won't bolt right into a non SE or S3 car.

 

That's right, because SE oil coolers are mounted in the front. D'oh! In that case, forget about the SE rad and fab some brackets for the cooler.
