GSL-SE Oil Cooler on 12a - what to do with water hoses?

I read through the archived thread, which is locked from further posting.
https://www.rx7club.com/1st-gen-arch...p-pics-478521/

I've got a GSL-SE Oil Cooler which should mount right up to the front of my FB. I've got a custom AN fitting kit from Racing Beat to run new lines. I've got the oil filter pedestal without the beehive.

The item that was not discussed in the link above was the rest of the water hoses. There is a T coming out of my block, and a T at the end of the heater hardline. Can I just connect the two, or will that limit pressure to the heater core?

I used caps and clamps on mine the first time I did it. I'm now using a GSL-SE heater hard line that goes on the passenger side. I guess any 1979-1983 one would work.

For the engine "T" if I had to do it again, I'd just weld it closed.

Welding would look best for sure.

If you can't cap it off and run a heater hose to the heater core. Do the same for the heater core ports.

I guess a super easy but strange looking solution would be to run two heater core hoses to the heater core. Might look weird but it will work for sure.

I never knew that the output on the 12A had two water outlets for the engine. Makes sense, but I haven't ever seen one close up like that. All I've ever dealt with are SA 12A's or my own cobbled S5 engine on a 12A car.

that's for the bee hive oil cooler. i've just cut it off just behind where it makes the tee. still leaves enough to clamp a hose to.

Seems like I remember pulling that fitting out and tapping the rear iron for NPT block off cap on a friends build I did ,he did not have a heater core.

you could also pull it out and tap a single barb fitting in there, or cut off the part facing the firewall , grind it smooth and slip the heater hose all the way against the rear iron with two clamps.

You need to flair the end a little bit if you go that route. And two clamps, too.
