Water/Oil Cooler Leaking, Anyone Have An Air/Oil Cooler Setup For Sale/Trade?

Well, as the title says. Looking for an air/oil cooler setup to put on my car. I dont really have any money (damn no job), but if you wanna offer me a price, that would be cool, or I will trade for any parts that you want from an 84 GS parts car...

I've got my old air/oil cooler with hose's. from my 82.
no cracks,no leaks, the hose's are fine too. I bought a brand new cooler from mazdatrix, with thier S.S. braided
hose kit. so,,what colour is the insides of your parts car ??.. I would also suggest if you can use a 2ed gen cooler. FYI

TJ, for now replace the orings. And replace the water hoses underneath it as they are probably oil soaked and soft. I lost 2 motors that way. The soft hose split and my antifreeze dumped out. DOnt wait dood, do it soon! What I did is I got a hose repair kit, the one with a plastic barbed fittin and clamps. The I looked at the molded elbow hoses they had on the shelf. Bought one tha was too long. Then cut it to fit from the cooler turning upwards. Cut off the hose from the fire wall about halfway down and spliced the new hose in. PM me if you wanna see a pic of what I'm talkin about.

Cant I just go to the hardware store and find some that are the same size? And same with the hoses...Cant I just buy some "bulk" hose and make new ones?

The hose and the fittings are both high presure rated.
any hose won't work for long. and fittings like earls are
not cheap. and make sure to get the thread pitch right too.

Not the oil lines Mark, Im talking about replacing the coolant lines that run to the cooler. Those arent high pressure really, I was just gonna buy some bulk heater hose and make new ones.

OK, T.J. what is this thread about ??? then,, If it's oil COOLER lines. or radiator COOLER lines, to/for the heater.. The oil lines are made the way they are for a reason. even though the system may not have a high
oil presure the lines should of a rated type.
sorry, but the whole thing here, i thought was about oil.

The thread is about the oil cooler, but rx7carl suggested replacing the heater hoses while he is working in that area, thats why he was asking about coolant hoses.

TJ, I have orings if you want them, PM me, DONT try hardware store ones, they are made for water not oil and will swell and leak, and theyre prolly not metric either. The problem with buying a piece of heater hose is that it wont make the 90* bend without kinking, veddy veddy bad! Just buy a preformed 90* hose like I said, trim it to fit and splice it in. Cheaper than a new one from mazdatrix, and it works trust me dood!

I'll have to take a look in there and see what actually is going on. Im just kinda guessing its the oil filter, cause oil doesnt flow anywhere else where Im getting the drip from...Plus I need to look at the coolant lines and see what youre talking about.
