Looks great Carl.
mine is in works. Just like my friends but blue. Except for the turbo and manifold
I'm still deciding if I'm going to powder coat my plates like this.

Thanks for the compliments. Some other nice pics here as well. Im using the Eastwood gun. Keys to good results. ABSOLUTELY clean parts, and supply air for the gun. Thats where all the work is. Surface prep of the parts is critical.

Good questions Ian. Gimme a week or so to get some stuff up on the site. I'll give some quidelines to help you though no matter who you get to do your work. The closer to being ready to coat, the cheaper it will be. Not just for me but any shop. Example: An intake manifold. Clean and degreased with no parts attached that either wont be coated or cant be (like the shutter valve cause of the diaphragm) will save you money. You dont want ot pay a shop to clean your parts, or strip excess parts off it. Normal prep for coating is a cleaning as necessary (depending on the part), then a trip to the blast cabinet, then coating, curing and cooling. The less I or any shop has to do, the less it will cost. Also, multiple parts in the same color will be like a bulk rate and will save more. Like if you want all your pulleys done. You should get a discount over having 4 or 5 done individually at different times. At least thats the way I see it, and how I will do things. Of course the color you shoose will also affect the price. A standard one coat in a standard color will be cheapest. And one color isint bad, look at the springs I did. Custom stuff will cost a bit more. Like the chrome on the intake, it MUST be clearcoated and thats another whole coating cycle. Same for annodized effects (they are tinted clears over chrome). Also theres translucents, color changing, wrinkle and a host of other finishes that are not standard and will cost a little more. No matter who you get to do your work, they should be up front about what they charge, but I can say that its more of an estimate until they see your stuff. I hope that helps guide you.
