Gonna 'upgrade'

was driving my Rx the other day and ran into a guy with a Cosmo, we got talking and he took me for a quick spin.

all i can say is WOW.
ive seen pictures and specs of them before, but these cars are just beautiful in person! and damn fast (20BTT)

so i decided that im going to stop my plans for a s/c 12a... and start saving for a cosmo.

think its a good idea? (and i know this is in the first gen section so there'll be some bias, but be honest)

well what do you want the car for, cosmo's are great but in essence they are luxury barges.

ehhhh, i would like one for a daily beater. they look nice and all but cost too much to really make "FAST". i'd rather put that motor in my 1st gen for alot less money.

hmmm...

im just thinking im getting sick of tinkering with all my a/c, electrical, carb etc etc and would be nice to have a newer car, keep it rotary, some luxury, and still be fast at the same time.

that and theyre just plain hot!

Do you believe there would be less tinkering with a Cosmo? It is a more complex car - more to maintain.

I have to admit they are beautiful cars. When I saw one in person last May I about shat myself. And with a 20b in the compartment it was pure ecstasy. I would stay with the 7 though your car is nice.

i too would love to own a cosmo. of course it couldnt be as fast as a 7 with the same set up due to the weight, but id still drive the heck out of one if someone could get them whole to the states.

thank z-beater.. but it looks awhole lot better in the pics

id be looking for a JC cosmo.. with either the elegance or sports with the car control system.
there a shop or two here that can convert the screen to be able to use it in aus.

and id say it'd be less tinkering with the newer car, even if it is more comlicated.
although, aparently those sequential twins are a nightmare.

how hard are cosmos to get in the US?
