Flame ON!!! pics of my hood - the best rice in town

It is still in the finishing stages but here you go. Feel free to flame me for being an "idiot", "blasphemous RX-7 owner", blah blah blah. Its the hood bump from a 1st gen talon. Also planned is the frunt bumper from talon going on and the turbo/intercooler system. Bring it on, haters....

you should have moved it more to where it would be right over the carb. then when you turbo it you will have more head room for it. where it's at now i dont see it's function. get it painted, i cant even tell it's humped hardly.

I was going to put it off center but though that I would have a tough time with the body line on the hood. Also, if I would have cut the hood out from underneath it would have lost quite a bit of structure. My hood flops around enough as it is.

Hey doc, talk to the previous owner(s). They apparently dont know of a decent way to sand a car. I am pretty sure they used 60 grit at one time or another. This is why the primer is all blotchy.

Ok, quite a few people want to put a T2 scoop, or some other type of cowl on their car. This is my way of turning junk (the whole hood was fubarred except this amazingly) into somethign useful. I only have about 20 bucks total in it so far. I already have enough filler, sandpaper and primer to finish it.

it could be worse, i dont think a hood can be rice unless it has a picture of a Excalibur sword.(like the newly famous rx7)
