Hey all, i just recently got my 84 GSL-SE and have seen many people refer to it as FB, i tried to use the search to find the definition of FB, but its under 3 letters so it wouldnt search, please tell me what FB stands for.

It's just a unique part of the VIN from 1st gen RX-7s....
The second gens are FC,
third gens are FD,
and the word on the street is that RX-8s are FE

I havn't looked myself, but now that you asked I think I might just have to, hehe

 

its in the VIN number...RX-7s are defined by F"number" for each generation. 1st is an FB, 2nd is an FC, and 3rd is and FD. and from what i've heard the RX-8 is an FE

Ok that works for North America, But the 1979-1980 models are refered to as SA, and the European, Japanise, and Austraillin are all SA from '79-''85. I don't know about the other generations.

And I can conferm that FE is in the VIN number of the RX8 I saw it with my own little eyes. right in the same place as FB.
