Going FI!!!!

Hi all!!
I have decided to do a F.I. setup on my turbo 12a this winter and think this is the best place for a little input. I currently have a weber 45 dcoe and would like to convert to the weber style throttle bodies offered by tweakit or twm.
Does anyone have anything good or bad to say about these kits, as far as drivability etc... Should I be considering a holley stlye TBI??? I really want the best in drivability. So if a 2 bore TB will be somewhat touchy or stumbly, Id rather go with a 4 barrell design, especially if im going to spend the money to convert to FI.
I would also like to get your opinion on a management system. I am conteplating megasquirt but all the research I have done, it seems like nobody can get there car to run properly. I really do not want this, ive had enough of that with carbs.
So any input would be appreciated.
Thank you very much

I figured thats probally best for tunability, drivability, and torque. However, I read something saying that one guy tryed both a holley style TB and a weber style on the same setup and lost about 40hp overall with the holley setup. This does seem a little unrealistic. Although i suppose if the TB secondarys were not sized correctly its possible.
Any thoughts on a Engine management system??

I just bit the bullet and got the Haltech e6x because of ease of install and use,I'm not sure if "ease" is the best word but compared to the other options I figured I'd spend the $$$ now and not have to upgrade or change anything later.

Haltech is pretty much on the top of my list as far as getting a quality unit. Ive read much about the ease of tuning with the haltech software as long as you know what your doing. Also so many Rotaries run this system I feel it would probally be a safe investment.
As far as 2 barrel or 4 barrel for the TB, im still undecided. Ive searched and searched the forum and various other places, and alls I seem to find is people saying they have just got this new setup, but never any final results or impressions.
Keep the input coming guys, very much appreciated.
Thank alot!!

Im trying to get a 13BREW, but if I cant, I already got a complete intake mani from an FD, tps, IAT and IAC included.

An easy solution to adapt it to a 12a is to make a nice adapter plate with the injector holes included.

A guy down here is running one that way and I like it

I will go the Megasquirt route

Thanks for the comments!!
Any more input guys?
Really leaning on getting the Fuji racing or twm IDA style TB with 4 injector bosses.
Since I already have the lower manifold to bolt it up to. Then just another custom intake plenum, a lot of wiring, and some more swearing and the car should run a whole lot better!! I hope

ITB's here I come. Ordering in the next month or so. Dj55b let me know how the setup is going and whatnot.
I really am interested in knowing if 2 or 4 injectors is the way to go. I really dont want to over complicate things.
Anyways, if anyone else has something to add, feel free.
Thanks

Will do, just don't know how long till I really get the car started due to a few things but you have to understand that the what will bolt to what type of intake manifold too. The easiest and cheapest way to install more injectors is in the intake intself.

Got a quick question: Is there a reason you made the intake after the intercooler go back towards the passenger side, then into the intake? Did you run out of space to run it on the drivers side? I dont know if the radiator top hose will heat it up or not. Just curious, it is an interesting engine bay!

Keep the updates coming!

Reason for the funny routing is that I use to not have an intercooler, so the charge pipe come straight up off the turbo, bent 90 degrees then into the carb box.
However, I acquired the intercooler 3 days before a big roadtrip I was taking the car on and really didnt have time to make a new box or cut and weld. So I just did the best I could with the materials I had and voila!!
Yes, the rad does heat the piping just a little bit, so its not ideal. But, once FI I will change all of that and finally install my water/meth kit.

Thanks for the answers, makes sense now! Where did you get the piping from?

Good job/luck on the project.
