The phone call everyone dreads
Hi Guys,
I drive a 13BT powered '82 SA-22C RX7.
about 2 months ago it started to run like **** and it sat in my front yard while i slowly replaced bits.
i finally hit a wall when it came to testing injector pulse (no noids or oscilliscope) so i got it trailered to one of the local workshops.
that was yesterday (yes i'm lazy)
i got a call thismorning from (i assume will soon be a good friend cos i'll see him lots) John, the head mechanic.
they tested the injectors and they were getting signal and they were flowing fine.
they then ran a compression test.
no compression on the front rotor. hence my engine is teh farked.
my plans as of now are to not bother rebuilding (the motor hasn't been opened up since it was new and it's highly unlikely that there are too many useable parts in it, though i will keep it and pull it apart. maybe have the rotors chromed and make a clock and a fishtank or something) and i will try and find another import motor and throw that in the car for the time being, leaving everything else how i wanted it.
this thread will be dedicated to the buildup. i'll take photos as i take them and get the car back..
time for a new album on photobucket methinks
