the glass is the same from 1979 to 1985 what was different was the rear latch and the front hinges.
i found one orginal 1979 glass roof (kinda mirror like tint) from a austrailian ebay auction. shipping was expensive and when i got it installed it I was like wow, why didnt USA get these. I have never seen one factory on USA option cars.
anyway back to thought. i got to looking and you can remove the hinges and latch from your steel lid and install them ont he glass you find. just be carefull the hardware is likely brittle and weak so take your time.
i built a second one for a friend here but like said they are going for 100-300 for some
