glass moonroofs
Hey folks, I could use some help. I have a glass moonroof for my 85 GSL-SE, but I need a couple parts for it that are different from the steel sunroof that is so common. What I am looking for are the "nuts" that the bolts screw into that you use to attach the release clip to the glass. I also need the seals that go with the "nuts." I have already tried Mazda, and they don't seem to even know anything about the RX-7 having ever been offered with a GLASS moonroof. Out of the three 1st gen RX-7's I've owned two of them had a glass moonroof. If you can help me, I would GREATLY appreciate it. Thanks
welcome to the forum!!! try posting in the 1st gen for sale/wanted section. you may have some luck there. sometimes when people break their glass roofs, they save the pieces. thats where you'll get lucky!
you can try e-mailing Http://www.mazdatrix.com They sell the things, and sometimes have random spare peices lying around. they have a bunch of old RX-7s around all the time, so they might have one they don;t want the roof from anymore too. also as far as i know they never wer sold with glass moonroofs, thats something most people do though I'm thinking about buying one myself.

Victoria British.... give me a break...
I went yard hopping to day, l looked at mini vans glass side windows, Japanese models of course. I thinking the Mazda MPV side glass pop outs look smaller, but the ones on the back were gone. Hinge side very tought to get to.
I read somewhere that the Nissan Quest are the right size but can't remember who said it.
I sold a set of hardware months ago because I came across a broken glass roof.
Keep us posted.
