gaskets... where can I get them?

Well, I'm assembling my new 13b engine, and I've run into quite a few gaskets that I need?

I do not want to buy a gasket set, because I have allready bought alot of the gaskets allready.

I've looked through Mazdatrix, Racing Beat, and a few OEM sites, but I cant find anyplace that sells, single specific gaskets. (like for the oil filter pedistal for example)

Where can I buy the odd ball remaining gaskets that I need?

Are victoria british's gaskets good quality?

I bought mine from them. Its doesn't have any of the rotor seals, but should have everything else you need. They always put one on ebay, and if you are lucky like me, you can be the only one to bid on it and get it for $115 plus $7.50 S/H instead of the $140+ they normally sell it for.

atkins also sells an "installation" gasket set, which would probably be just what I need.

right?

I'm guessing that ATV works on most of the gaskets that mazdatrix, or the other major mazda sites don't have. ATV works well in a ton of applications.

You mean RTV? I bought Hylomar, just cause I never tried that brand before, but yeah, RTV would work. I use the high-temp RTV on engines, and they have a tube specifically for water pump gaskets, but the normal engine stuff works on water pumps too.

I get my gakset paper from big river rubber and gasket, I just cut it out with scissors, hole punch for bolt holes, and a razor blade.

Hylomar rocks man, only sealant approved for rotary engine building

Be careful with any gasket sealer that cures firm. I've had problems with the stuff squishing into oil holes and water holes and obstructing flow. Plus, it's nice to have something that slips a little in use so that heat contractions don't tear and unseat it. In the old days mechanics used chassis grease for gaskets for those two reasons. It'll wash out of oil and water holes, and it allows some slippage. For high-temp rotary use I'd think some kind of silicone based grease would be good. I only use firm gasket sealers where there is a known sealing problem.

Hylomar doesn't cure solid.
