Fusible link

Hey guys...looking for some help with a fusible link problem... I blew a fusible link (the second one from the bottom, guessing it's due to the bad coil that will soon be replaced) however, I can't seem to get a replacement, since my local Mazda dealer has discontinued them... any idea where i can get an aftermarket link or a reasonable replacement? Thanks.

Replace it with a 2nd gen fuse. You can get them at any auto parts place.

Keith - you can get direct fuseable link replacements from Canadian Tire or PartSource

i tried crappy tire and my local mazda dealer and neither of them knew anything about it... maybe I'll try again tommorrow...

Use the 2nd gen ones. Neater/cleaner/cheaper and availible.

Almost any parts place has them ... not sure if it has been mentioned before or not but there' are actually 2 types of those, one with longer end then the other. If you get the ones with long legs you don't actually have to modify anything. If you get the shorter legs, for them to really stay in there you will have to just cut a bit of the plastic piece thats on the stock part that goes inbetween the 2 legs.
