funny noise when starting

funny noise when starting

when i drive my car 30 minutes or an hour or somewhere around there and then i turn it off then when i turn it back on it makes a really wierd noise and i was wondering if that happens to anyone else or if someone knows what it is?

Being that it only happens when the car its warm it could be the hot start assisist motor. To check just disconect it and see.

Beat me to it. The hot start assist can sound very alarming indeed. One of the main reasons I took mine out was because I couldn't stand the screetching noise it made.
