Get a 91 N/A Intake and run an aftermarket ECU such as Haltech, Wolf or SDS.

The intake ports and runners are significantly larger. Those engines put out 160hp in stock trim, and you could easily get 185-190 with the right intake, exhaust and fuel delivery. With porting...Much more.

By the way, SDS would probably easiest and cheapest if you are going to stay N/A. You don't need a laptop to program them either.

Bolts right up - yes...and no..

Depends on what year 13B you are running.
It matters if you started with a 4 port or a 6 port.

If you have ported the engine, it shouldn't matter *too* much, since you more than likely opened up the ports to match better.

Intake Manifolds Differences..

hey directfreak, thanks for the great pic and info. I've always wanted to see a side-by-side of 13b intakes.

Gotta ask cause I don't know...

The differences between teh 86-88 and the 85GSL-SE style 6port intake manifolds?

They bolt up the same but the 6th port actuation is different?

will the GSL-SE lower intake manifold bolt up to the S4 n/a upper intake manifold?

I'm doing some porting on a friends car and am wondering if we need the lower. (I don't think it stuck around when we cleaned out the garage. I have an extra upper and plenum to use)

Also would the HKS f-con work with the gsl-se ecu to then run the secondary injectors?
