Fuel pump selection

Can anyone offer some advice on which fuel pump to use, I have a 85 GS ,swapping out the dead 12 a for a street ported 13 b using a 48 ida set-up, can I use the original pump? It was suggested to use a mallory 70 gph low pressure pump, this thing is huge, has anyone used the facet pump?, From what I have read the mallory is a high volume pump, low pressure, factory set at approx 4 psi delivering 70 gph, no pressure regulator required, the facet is about the same psi, delivers approx 15 to 25 gph, will this supply enough fuel, they are small and looks easy to mount, a lot smaller than the mallory, any input would be greatly appreciated.

Wait til noon tomorrow and you will have about 12 different ones that are told to be the best. I am not sure what size pump you need. Just letting you know what will happen.

I have a holley blue and yes it is large and yes you will need a regulator if you get it.

The Holley Blue if bought new comes with a crapp regulator, but it works. The holley blue is an awesome pump and with your setup I recomend at least a pump that puts out 100gph. And no matter what you get its gonna be big. Unless you use the MSD pump. A lot of people with blow through turbo are using the MSD pump with the Mallory 4309 fuel pressure regulator with sucess. But be warned the holley is loud. The carter will acomplish your goals and be quieter than the holley, but don't plan anythingelse other than a n/a streetport using the carter. Like the eariler post said you're going to have 13 different opinions on here by noon, but they'll all prolly work. It'll just come down to a brand prefernece in the end.
