Fuel Pressure

I'm currently running 4 1/2 psi fuel pressure into to holley 465. A mate said the holley can't handle 6psi because the pressure blows out some filter or something in the carby. I dont know exactly what its called, but it gets destroyed by the pressure aparantly. Is there a work around for this?

Cheers,
heb.

What are you trying to do?

Why do you want to run too much fuel pressure for your carb??

The fuel pressure isn't going to blow any screen out.
It will push the needle out of the seat, though, and cause flooding.
You should only need 4.5 psi max - even with a BP.
