fuel lines?
im going to be installing a fuel cell on my fb and i need to replace the fuel lines leading up to the carb.
my question is, What alternative material can i use instead of the stock hard line.
i dont need it to be bigger. Really i just dont want to mess with or try and find the stock lines.

Depends on the size you get. Wht you can do is take off the old line and go to the hardware store and get a copper one that's the same size or get an idea of wht the size is once at the hardware store and order the steal ones from summit racing or jegs. You will find them online if you don't have one of there catalogs. You will also need fittings from them if you decide to go steal. Im not sure at what the stock line size is as I run a RX4. That shouldn't make a diffrence though since we are only discussing fuel line materials. I ran a 3/8 copper line before I went blow thru.

EDIT, read original post. Trochoid had a post here somewhere that said exactly what all the stock lines were. Get the same inner diameter of copper pipe as stock line and you'll be good.

Copper is a nono, it corrodes to easily. I bought a 25' roll of 3/8" aluminum for about 20 bucks at the local speed shop. AL is very easy to, and kink, you'll need a tubing bender and a flaring tool. Tube ends that connect to rubber fuel lines will need a bubble flare for a leak free clamp seal and to prevent crushing. Stainless steel is also an option, harder to work with and more expensive.
You will need to change the clamps that secure the lines to the body, I use the offset loop clamps with rubber inserts.

well the problem with my fb is im not getting enough fuel to the carb. i resealed the tank put in a new fuel pump and filter and still nothing. i just wanted to know if there was anything better than stock. i dont need any more fuel than what im getting now. but ss seams to be the way to go.
i used to be a plumber and yea copper isnt something you would want to use as a fuel line. i went to do a job at a 1 year old house and when i went to split into the copper line it was horrific. i had no idea that copper was that bad?
p.s. that line went to the sink. lol nasty green ****.......... drink up

So i assume you have done the volume test etc to determine that is in fact not getting enough fuel?
Must be an easier way to clear the lines than replacing them, but i couldnt say for sure...
