Fuel injection options
I'm building a N/A engine. It will have 12A center housings, -se rotor housing and a 90 rotating assy w/ a nice streetport. What fuel injection choices do I have? I want something reliable and quick.. stock or aftermarket.
Will be installing this in a 80 RHD SA

I'd recommend an S5 intake and a good fuel control computer (Haltech, Wolf2d, ...). The dynamic chamber helps with low end torque and high end power. The aftermarket computer (and some hours tuning) will get you more power than the stock ECU can. Plus you'll be able to run the mechanical oil metering pump, the stock S5 ECU needs the electronic OMP, which causes complications with the front cover.
This is the setup I'm using and I really like it. It still needs some dyno tuning but the midrange power is very nice, even with the secondary ports removed.
I just don't believe that you get as streetable an engine with a throttle body style intake. Torque will suffer.

I see... yourtying to make a fuel injected 4 port. Which, in your approach is kind of a bad idea. The center 12a plate doesnt have spots for fuel injectors meaning youd have to moun them farther up.
Heres what I would do, get a turbo motor, and swap some s5 N/A rotors into it. This would give you the provisions for a good fuel injection setup. The only problem is getting that lower intake to match the engine. Use a grinder and lots of JB weld.

You can still use the S5 intake on a 4-port. You just need to use the manifold injectors as the primaries.
cosmicbang, there's nothing wrong with a throttle body injector setup per se. However, with the longer intake runners of the S5, you'll get higher low rpm airflow momentum which improves low end torque. The intake also has been tuned to take advantage of the rotary's natural supercharging effects where a throttle body and short intake manifold won't do these things.

I adapted an S4 turbo intake to my old-school 13b. It was more work than I expected, but turned out OK.

I'm running Megasquirt efi for fuel, and the stock distributor setup for ignition. I suspect you are also lacking the primary injector bosses in the center plate? I ended up using the T2 secondaries as primaries, with the throttle body modified to disable the progressive mechanism. It was running nicely by the time the snow arrived. Can't wait for warm weather now!

check out mooneyes.com They have a TBI setup using a Stromberg-97 body hiding the injectors. You'd have to find or fab a manifold for dual Strom-97's, but this may be the way to go. I'm trying to save up the cash to try it myself and watching the reviews.

DF, Thanks. It was a bit of work to fabricate everything, but it all came together OK. I like being able to pull injectors quickly without removing the intake.
Mwatson184 - Does that link I sent not have a few pictures of the intake installed? I've got more at home if you've got a specific view of interest.
