Fuel filter
The in tank filter was just loose rolling around in the tank. There's a hook on it and not sure how it attaches. Maybe something that dissolved over time? I want to make sure it's done right as I never ever want to do this job again!
Thanks

The top of that filter bends over and hooks on fuel pipe to help hold it on. Have seen people blow them off or blow them out by blowing compressed air back into tank in attempt to clear fuel line when flow problems are present

That makes sense, I might leave well enough alone, that old plastic seems brittle. Bending it might not work. Fortunately the inside of the tank is pristine, a didn't get any out of it when I washed it out.
