Front Struts/Shocks

Hello everyone... I am trying to make a decision on what to type of inserts to put into my racecar... I have looked at KYB- KONI...However I cannot find anything that will give me performance that I need...

I would like to put Builstein's on the front... However I cannot find them on their site... Anyone have a part number...

Anyone have a sugestion and part number for something "good"...

im currently building my 7 for a street car that will hopefully see some track time and maybe become a full track time car. from what ive gathered, there is no substitute for bilstein. you can get bilsteins but your front strut assembly has to modified to fit it. theres a company in florida that will do this for you as well as fit an adustable spring perch on the assembly for a really decent price. they carry lots of good products for a good price for the 1st gen. what do you plan on building your car for? i havent decided what class or type or racing yet. cause my car is so modified i dont think ill be able to compete in the class id be in. anyways, heres the website to the place i was telling you about. theyre known for having great service and products.

for reference, ISC uses Part # P30-4504, and valving 0032MO.

Your mileage may vary, these do require the new strut tubes. If you call him, tell Mike/Tracey... Marcus Miller says Hi!

IT7, shoot me an email, marcus-at-miller-dash-motorsports-dot-com I've been going through strut choices like crazy....

on edit, I have 2 complete sets of the ISC bilsteins that I ran during the 25 hours of Thunderhill last year, so I'm "somewhat" familiar with them...

I am happy with the Tokico blues and eibach springs. I have this setup and there is no need for a strut bar as this suspension is stiff as hell! Went thru the gap very nice last year. I do have the rb front/rear sway bars as well. I like it and was in my price range. Let us know what you run and how it works out as I will be building a 79SA/GSL/TII car this year so will need a sweet suspension.

It really matters what spring rate you are using. Illuminas work well for spring rates under 400 lb. So, what spring rates are you using?

Man, nice site. Do you have the red car set up with that setup? Do you ever get down to Nashville tn? I would really love to drive a 7 with that setup on it.
I will be putting a TII motor/tranny/ecu/harness in to a 1st gen sometime this year and would love to see how that setup works to see if it is what I need for mine.

It works so long as you use stock width struts, the Koni Yellows and Advance will not fit these coil overs, Koni reds and Tokico Illuminas will. This smaller size is the problem with them for serious race they overheat too quickly.
