front struts

First let me say THANK YOU to all of you folks. You have walked me through removing the pollution crap, to installing my RB exhaust system, to the heads up about the two washers on the water pump housing, to removing my oil pan with ease, etc......ya'll have been great!!!

So...I have another request to pick the brains of the RX-7 gods. 1985 GSL - after much reading on here and recommendations, I put silver Konig 15" wheels with 205/70 R15 tires. Looks freaking great (I will post pics) rides great too with one exception. The front tires scrap in tight turns. My car has 100K miles, so I am guessing it's time to change the struts, as they may be part of the problem??? Are there adjustable struts that won't break the bank? For that matter, are there adjustable struts for a RX-7?

Any guidance/recommendations would be very much appreciated!!! Mike

205s on 15x7 20mm offset Konigs will rub the front sway bar on tight turning radius. I just installed Konig Rewinds 15x7 4x110 20mm and hid 195 installed because of this known issue.

Is the tire touching the inside top edge of the fender?

rolling means to tuck that little metal in the fender. Easier for you to google it

I have not watched this video, but you’ll see what I mean

I have the same wheel & tire set up and the inside of the tire rubs the sway bar on my car.

205/70/15 are too tall of a tire. I have 205/50/15. If u go up on the rim size u need to go down on the tire size.

I think you said the scrape at the top of the wheel well? If so, the 70-series is too tall. They are about 1-1/2" taller than the 50-series. Changing the struts won't have any useful effect on ride height.
