Need advice on Struts/Shocks

I need to replace the struts/shocks on an otherwise stock 1979 Limited Edition RX7. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I know the KYBs are popular here with RX folk as a "normal" step up from stock for street use. For sale all the time on eBay. Rears, as you may know, are same as later 81-85 FB RX7. Fronts are SA-specific. this makes them a bit harder to find, but by no means impossible. You can also try Mazdatrix.com's site for these shocks I think, among others.

You might want to clarify the intended use of the car to save getting a lot of incorrect advice on higher-performance shocks that might be over the top if you are just looking for a touring experience vs a cornering Magnet.

I personally have (and still) run Konis and Bilsteins, both of which are more in the "aggressive-sport" ride category, and are NLA anyway, so...

Congrats on the Limited ownership. Please reward all our great advice with a few pix of your car!

Yes, you need to post some pics of your 79 Limited. There is also a registry sticky thread for special models you might want add your car to.

For stock ride and springs, the KYB GR2 are a great replacement. You can also just recondition
the front struts and refill with new oil if you want to go the original route. Kind of like doing
motorcycle forks.

We demand pics!

Tried to post some pictures - don't seem to have the correct level of authorization. Any suggestions on whom I should contact to update/fix my status? Thanks!

With only two posts I thought you could only post in the new member section.
