Front Strut Bar
Guys,
Gettting my 85 ready for the GRM $2002 Challenge in February and I was looking for some items that would help me in the autocross.
I have seen several people with a homemade Front Strut Bar. I have lost the URL.
Who out there has made their own Strut Bar. Do you have any pictures, material list, so I can look at it to see what I need to
make my own.
Thanks for all the help.
Cole

If you have a welder (probably do if you're entering the Challenge right?) you could make your own little mini-brackets and weld tubing together. Materials... same stuff, same theory, except less crushing and more welding If you don't have a welder, get a MIG set and some books, your life will improve dramatically once you can weld!
1x1" steel tube is wonderful stuff. So is angle iron. I've made a kart frame, special flywheel holders and E-shaft stoppers, a camera mount, various jigs, some modern art when I was teaching myself to weld... (weld two things together, cut one off, weld it on in a different spot, try different types of joints, etc.)

Here is another setup that you could get from mazdatrix...

I don't know how well that will clear anything, though...
