Question Front main seal...Omp Gasket?

Ok, well Im trying to figure out how Im leaking oil on my engine. First was the oil PSI sender, fixed that. Then the water/oil cooler, the air oil cooler is going in. Now, there is oil on the front cover, and I dont know if its new, or if its just old stuff that I just noticed. Anyway, the oil looks like its been there a while (clumpy, dirty), but it still feels wet and stuff. Anyway, the oil is concentrated around the OMP, so I was thinking its got a bad seal/gasket. How do I replace that (manual at my Dads house )? Also, it KINDA looks like oil might be coming from the front main seal, and I know how to replace that, I was just wondering where I should try and get one from. Anyway, I knew I should have changed the seal when I did the rear main seal, lol . Also, I know about the stuff from MazdaTrix about the bearings and stuff. Thanks.

As far as the OMP anyway...

Mine had a lot of oil and grunge collected below it on the front housing, and even oil dripping from the linkage. I used the Lowe Performance reseal kit, and so far, it's taken care of the leak. (www.loweperformance.com)

The kit is mentioned elsewhere on this forum, but comes with 3) o-rings, (the right size/thickness!) the flange gasket, short lengths of rubber hose for the plastic oil line ends, and instructions. Cost about $12 inc. postage. Worth a try considering the price of a new OMP!

TJ I like rotor-spin's plan. Cheap and will fix it if its leaking. You dont really know which seal is leaking on the OMP do you? WOuld suck to buy a $3 gasket and then have to buy more seals, etc etc etc......

And dude, dont tell people you blew a seal ok? Its kinda gross!

I think I will. Sounds like a plan. I just read a how-to on mazspeeds forum about it. Sounds easy enough.

You know what they say...

You can pound a thousand nails, and no-one will call you a carpenter, but blow one seal...
