Found a RacingBeat 4 barrel intake and exhaust Manifold

I was pulling some parts for one of my Mazdas at a small salvage yard and I happened to walk by a 1st Gen RX7 while I was there. I popped the hood and it has a Racingbeat intake (looks like the one for Holley carbs) and a Racingbeat exhaust manifold on it. I spend most of my time working on Proteges and know very little about the rotary scene, but I thought I would ask here and see if there is anyone who would be interested in these parts. I know that there aren't a whole lot of people still playing with 12A motors and I don't want to take the time to pull these parts if they are just going to sit in my garage. If there is interest I will gladly go pull these parts and get a proper thread going in the classified forums.

Hey, I sent you an email. BTW, why did you just go check out the car? What car were you getting parts for? Sorry if I seem nosy, it's just that I have no idea who you are, and for all I know, you want my email so you can send me a super virus to blow my computer up. . Now, I'm not trying to accuse anyone here, I just am trying to be safe. Thanks for understanding. Oh, and lastly, when you said exhaust manifold, did you mean header?

Hey...it's no problem man. I'm rebuilding an old Mazda 323 Wagon I've had for several years. The motor finally wore out after 300,000 miles and I'm replacing it with a DOHC conversion using a 1.6L Miata motor and Mercury Capri ECU/harness/mounts to make it fit. I also race a '94 Protege in SCCA Solo II.

I saw an MX-3 and some Proteges in another row of the lot so I went to check them out to see if there was anything on them worth pulling. The RX7 was sitting with them. I always check them out. My 323 Wagon has a 1st Gen RX7 steering wheel and GSL-SE rims on it.

The exhaust looks like this only much nicer and stainless I believe.

That is just a picture I found on google. I guess they call it a pre-silencer??? It bolts right to the exhaust outlets on the motor.

Thanks for the cooperation. I don't mean to be a jerk, I am just kinda suspicious of dealing with people over the internet that I don't know. Email me when you get the prices, I might be interested.

Going price for a used RB header is ~$100, I imagine the intake is worth quite a bit more. If you don't mind taking the time to pull them I can guarantee they will sell in the classifieds here.

I miss my old 94 protege. Only had about, 100hp? It was the 1.8 SOHC. 100,000
miles and never missed a beat. Sold it to a kid who immediately riced it. Probably
wrecked somewhere.

Now I DD an 02 protege, love it to death (except for the rear motor mount going
bad)

Hey guys, thanks for all the info. I'm going back to the yard tomorrow and I will grab these parts. I will post a link to the classified thread as soon as I get the pictures. Those who have messaged me in the mean time will have priority if they want the stuff. I'm just happy to help out the whole Mazda community whenever I can...and maybe put a little finder's fee in my pocket.

I'm waiting for my thread in the classified forum to be approved. There are pictures posted in that thread. As soon as it is available I will link it here if I am around the computer. I have the parts in my garage.
