foglights!

Nabbed a set of fog lights off of an 88 FC today at pick n pull - pretty good, one has a crack in it but oh well. Has anyone else used these one's(or close to them), and any opinions on where to mount them on the FB? i was thinking of the opposing top corners of the air intake area under the bumper. what do you guy's think? Also, I have all the mounting hardware for them. Just not in the pic.

Make sure you use a relay to switch 'em; pull their power off the main fuselink block, put the relay nearby, and then you just need a small-guage wire grounded by your switch.

Much more efficient than pulling heavy-guage wire into the cabin & all the way back.. and slowly frying your switch contacts.

Mine are pencil beam driving lights as opposed to fog lights. I used 2 relays. A normal one like DD described triggered by a switch on the dash. The second relay is triggered by the power to the bright lights and it triggers the first. This makes the driving lights go on and off with the bright lights or separately with the dash switch. This won't be the right thing for fog lights. It works great when I'm driving across the Everglades with the bright lights on and a car comes around a distant corner. I can dim all the lights with a flip of the stalk.

not a bad idea, but you're right, not the best to do with foggers.
I wanted them originally to turn on when i turned my lights on with the ability to manually turn them on and off even with the other lights on, but i realize that fog lights aren't meant to be on all the time. I may still do it that way, though....
