MB Flooding help

hey so i have a 1980 rx7 and the other day i started it drove it like 3 feet and it died so i tried to start it again and i think i flooded it. i got it towed home then ripped out the pugs. they were soaked in gas. i dried them off, cleaned them a bit then cranked the engine with no plugs in to get al of the **** out. i put the dry pugs in tried to fire up again but it wouldnt go, pulled the plugs out, wet again. so i took em out left it over night tried it again this morning. no dice, same problem, anyone know what i can do to get my car running again?

i would check if you have spark or a strong enough spark. and somtimes it just takes forever to get them damn rotarys unflooded lol but it sitting will not let it unflood you have to do it manually. not shure on a 12a but i would cut off the fuel so its not shooting any fuel in and crank her over for a while and burn the gas out. try pop starting it and you may have to keep it running by keeping the petal to floor a lil bit. good luck

Once the plugs are clean and the housings blown out, pour a cap full of motor oil down each barrel of the carb. This will help increase compression . To blow out the housings, pull the engine fuse from the fuse box. You can leave the fuse out while trying to start, as soon as the engine begins to fire, insert the fuse.

If you have good strong spark and compression...
Try actually cleaning the plugs (brake cleaner of some other solvent), then pour about 2- 3 oz of SeaFoam down each of the primaries.
Works like a charm for me.

check spark if no spark thats the problem, then move onto igniters, dizzy and coils.

if you have spark then you may have broken the timing chain wich is really rare but could happen.

Another alternitive is if it sputters then the engine housings may be so de cromed that the rotor cant compress the gasoline enough to full burn in this case the engine needs a rebuild, i hope you didnt just buy it if you did insist on a new engine!!!
